Arka Avinash : This line has been derived from cross between IIHR-108 and IIHR-3 developed by adapting pedigree method of breeding and IPS were made in segregating population with the following traits viz; plants tall and spreading growth habit with dark green stem and dark green foliage. Flower are purple in colour and fruits are green long fruits with fleshy green calyx having smooth texture and contains less seeds, less browning, and slow seed maturity with good keeping and cooking qualities, early in first maturity (50-58 days) with high yield potential of 40-44 t/ha 95-115 days of total crop duration & identified for release at institute level by VTIC during September, 2015
